Robin began as a Dance Spectrums student when she was 9.. she left to attend the Philadelphia School of Performing Arts and Mason Gross in New Brunswick, NJ. In 1987 she returned as a full time teacher, teaching Intro to Dance, Kindergarten Dance, Jazz, and Lyrical. Her "Party Central" parties are the BEST!!!

Tina started teaching at Dance Spectrums ( founded in 1977 in West Windsor) in 1979 . She teaches Intro, Kindergarten and Jazz, but specializes in tap. Tina will often be seen at Broadway Dance Center or Steps in NYC..just brushing up...She also teaches Intro to Dance at area nursery schools and the Jewish Community Center of the Delaware Valley. Tina is also on staff at Westminster Choir College at Rider University teaching tap to musical theater majors.

Miss "Dria" began her dance career at Dance Spectrums over 20 years ago where her passion for the art form developed. Continuing her studies she received a BFA in Dance from Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University, with a specific concentration in Traditional and Contemporary Modern Dance, as well as Ballet. Out of college she had the immediate opportunity to work for the Carolyn Dorfman Dance Compnay ( CDDC) as Company Manager and Education Coordinator. In addition, Dria has also pursued a Classical Pilates education and is a certified Pilates instructor on the apparatus and mat. When she is not teaching dance or instructing Pilates, Dria's love and attention goes to raising her daughter Nina, who is just taking her first dance class! and her newborn son Leo. Dria has an enormous appreciation for the arts! She shares this passion by finding creative ways to bring the arts into the classroom and encourages others to follow their passion.

Since the age of 4, Christie Lee Williams has been studying many forms of dance including tap, jazz, ballet, Irish step, lyrical, contemporary, and hip hop. Shortly after, she began participating in musical theatre productions. At the age of 13, Christie aced a dance instructor certification course at the Hazleton Studio of Dance and has been teaching ever since, all the while continuing her studies in the world of performing arts. She has worked at venues all over Pennsylvania and New Jersey, such as the Pennsylvania Theatre of Performing Arts, the Little Theatre of Wilkes-Barre, Showcase Theatre, Bucks County Playhouse, Bucks County Dinner Theatre, Backstage Production Ensemble, and the Open Air Theatre (presented by Downtown Performing Arts Center), starring in such shows as the Wizard of Oz (Dorothy), West Side Story (Maria), Bye Bye Birdie (Rosie), and Fiddler on the Roof (Hodel alongside Eddie Mekka as Tevye). Christie has been involved in theatrical productions not only as a performer, but as a director and choreographer as well. She has accepted many awards and trophies in competitions for her dancing and vocal skills and eventually graduated to a performance judge with Cavalcade of Stars and Talent Explosion, traveling to such places as Pennsylvania, North Carolina, New Mexico, and Texas. She is also a certified Zumba and Pilates instructor! Perhaps her proudest accomplishment, Christie starred in her own cabaret act featuring her band - Christie and the Hep Cats. The cabaret act featured Christie as a solo-performing triple threat - singing, dancing, and acting - and also included some comedy, ventriloquism, and character work! Christie is excited to join the Dance Expo/Dance Network staff and share her experience as a well-rounded performer and lover of the stage!

Marie has been involved in dance for over 20 years. Starting with ballet at age 5, she began choreographing and competing at 14, and became an assistant teacher soon thereafter. Expanding her love of the stage, Marie also began perfroming in all of her high school's drama and musical productions, and as a vocal soloist. She holds a Bachelors degree from The College of New Jersey in Fine Art, with concentrations in the areas of Ceramics and Photography, and a Minor in Film Production. Professionally teaching dance since 2004, she has taught Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip-Hop and Lyrical to a variety of age groups. Marie also holds a Standard Teaching Certificate for the State of New Jersey in Art Education, and has taught all grades from Kindergarten through 12th in the Fine Arts. In addition to her passion for dance Marie also is a 1st degree Black Belt in the martial art of Tae Kwon Do. Always interested in expanding her knowledge of dance, she is currently studying the Suhaila Salimpoor Bellydance format, and will be performing with the Kim Leary Dance Ensemble this summer in NYC and Princeton.

Joining our teaching staff this year, Miss Jenn comes to us from northern New Jersey where she received her dance education from Nancy C. King at the King Centre for the Performing Arts.  Since the age of 5, Jenn has studied many forms of dance with particular concentration in ballet, jazz, tap and acrobatics.  As a member of the American Youth Dance Company, she was able to share her passion for performing by participating in showcases, competitions, charity events and arts education programs.  Jenn was also a member of the cast for the Company’s annual production of “The Nutcracker” for 10 years, performing numerous ballet lead roles including that of the Snow Queen.  Miss Jenn enthusiastically looks forward sharing her technical knowledge and her love for dance and performance with our students.

Sharlis has been a member of Dance Expo since the age of 2 when it was originally Dance Spectrums. She has always loved dancing and enjoys being on the stage, taking any opportunity to teach what she has learned from hr amazing teachers Robin and Tina. She is originally from Plainsboro NJ and currently attends Rider University, studying psychology and social work. She aspires to teach dance and open up her own private practice one day.

Archana started learning Indian Classical Dance since she was 8 years old under the able guidance of Guru Mani ( the famous bollywood actress Hema Maline's Guru) and has complete knowledge of Bharatnatyam. After leaving her corporate career in Human Resources 5 years ago she has been teaching and choreographing  blending classical Indian Dance and American Dance moves.

She says..."The satisfaction I get after teaching my students is much more than the 9 to 5 job. Dance has not only taught me to be patient but also has added more fun to m y life. I feel extremely satisfied when I share my talent and skills with my students."

Melanie has been dancing since before she was three years old. She danced and competed for the Footlights Dance Company and Stage Door Dance Studio. She was a member of the NJ Theater Ensemble and the Shore Ballet Company. She was also an instructor and choreographer for Stage Door Dance in Jamesburg and The School of the Arts in No Brunswick competition teams. In 2005 she opened On the Edge Dance Studio which later became The Dancer's Edge. The competition team at those studios won many awards including Petite, Jr Miss and Teen Miss at National Dance Showcase in 2008, Teen/Duet Trio tap overall winner at Ticket to Broadway in 2009, Sr Miss and Teen Duet/Trio top overall winner at Legacy Dance Championships in 2011, and Sr Miss at National Dance Showcase in 2011.

Alex began dancing at the age of three at Stage Door Dance Studio in Jamesburg NJ. By the age of eight she began dancing with the studio's Footlights Dance Company, which competed at both regional and national dance competitions and she also danced at Walt Disney World in Orlando, FL. Alex has performed in several productions of "The Nutcracker" with the Shore Ballet Company. In 2007, while working on a Bachelor's Degree in Entrepreneurship from Pace University, Alex began teaching for The Dancer's Edge as well as choreographed dances for the studio's competition team. Dance has always been a passion for Alex and she is excited to continue to share this passion with her students.
